Leopard Skin Seized, 3 Arrested In Nuapada

Nuapada, July 10: Forest officials Wednesday seized the skin of a leopard and arrested three persons in the Sinnapali forest range in Nuapada district today. The arrestees were later forwarded to the court. 

Khariar DFO Ajij Khan said forest officials caught the miscreants red-handed while making a deal to sell out the skin on the border area of the Sinapali range. They had earlier been tipped about the illegal act. 

Forest officials of Khariar forest sub-division and Chhattisgarh's Udanti Seeta River Tiger Project conducted the raid. Apart from seizing the tiger skin and arresting three miscreants, the forest personnel also seized three mobiles.
