Bhubaneswar, July 3: After LAccMI bus service, the state government, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, has turned its focus towards 'Mo Bus' service as transformation continues in Odisha.
Earlier, the name of 'LAccMI' bus service was changed to 'Mukhyamantri Bus Seva'. Now reports say that 'Mo Bus' service may see a change in name to 'Ama Bus'.
Speaking about 'Mo Bus' services, Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, Minister of Housing & Urban Development, has said that the 'Mo Bus' service will continue.
"Mo Bus service is quite convenient for people. So the service will continue," said Dr. Mahapatra. He, however, shared a thought on the name of the bus service, saying: "The word -- 'Mo' (my) -- means arrogance. So 'Ama' (our) would be appropriate."
This statement triggered a speculation of the change of 'Mo Bus' service's name. The Housing & Urban Development Minister took a ride on Mo Bus and inspected the situation. He also discussed with passengers in an aim to make the bus service more convenient.
"If necessary, the number of buses will be increased. We are checking the situation in various places. The bus service will be provided where necessary," Dr. Mahapatra explained.
"As many as 400 buses will come under 'PM-eBus Sewa Scheme'. The Twin City -- Bhubaneswar and Cuttack -- will get 100 buses, while other places will have the service of 100 buses," he added.
Reacting to the change in colour of LAccMI buses, Dr. Mahapatara said that discussions will take place over the matter if necessary.
