Bus-Truck Collision On NH-55 Claims Conductor's Life
A bus conductor was killed and more than 10 passengers were injured after a private bus collided with a coal-laden truck near Luhamunda on National Highway-55 in Angul district.
According to a source, a private bus named 'Dilkhush' was travelling from Bhubaneswar to Jharsuguda when the accident occurred at around 2:30 am near Luhamunda. The bus reportedly rammed into the rear of a coal-laden truck moving on the highway.
The impact of the collision left the bus conductor dead on the spot, while over 10 passengers sustained injuries.
Of the injured, six were stated to be in critical condition and were shifted to Angul District Headquarters Hospital for advanced treatment. Other injured passengers were also provided medical assistance.

On being informed, police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the circumstances leading to the accident.
Six Seriously Injured In Scorpio Crash In Mayurbhanj
In another accident, six persons sustained serious injuries after a Mahindra Scorpio vehicle crashed into the rear of a truck near Chhuruni Chhak on National Highway-18 under Betnoti police station limits in Mayurbhanj district.

The source said the occupants of the vehicle were travelling from Bihar to Puri for darshan of Lord Jagannath when the mishap took place.
The Scorpio reportedly hit a truck from behind, causing extensive damage to the vehicle and leaving all six occupants seriously injured.
The injured were initially admitted to the Betnoti Community Health Centre. Considering the severity of their injuries, they were later shifted to PRM Medical College and Hospital in Baripada for specialised treatment.
