Bhubaneswar, Jan 9: A major series of accidents occurred late last night in the capital city when a speeding car rammed into multiple vehicles one after another at Jagamara Square.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the car heading towards Bhubaneswar lost control over the wheels and collided with several vehicles before fleeing the scene.

According to eyewitnesses, the car was being driven recklessly under the influence of alcohol.

Following the incident, more than four people sustained serious injuries in the incident. All of them were rushed to Capital Hospital for treatment.

Local residents, who witnessed the accident, managed to note down the car’s registration number and have provided the details to the police.

The incident has sparked outrage among locals, who allege that rash driving and drunk driving are becoming increasingly common in the city. Police have launched an investigation and are expected to trace the vehicle and its driver soon.
