Kanpur, Oct 25: Odisha will take on Uttar Pradesh today in their second match of the Ranji Trophy 2025–26 season at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.

After a disappointing start to their campaign with a loss to Baroda at the Barabati Stadium, the Odisha team, led by captain Subhranshu Senapati, is eyeing a strong comeback.

Uttar Pradesh, which secured three points from its opening tie against Andhra Pradesh, aims to strengthen its position on the points table with another strong performance. Odisha, meanwhile, seeks to recover after a defeat against Baroda and is eager to establish its presence in the standings.

Historically, Odisha has struggled against Uttar Pradesh, failing to register a win in recent encounters. However, the team remains optimistic about turning the tide in this crucial Elite Group A fixture.

The match is scheduled to run from October 25 to 28, with both sides expected to field their best XI.
