Bhubaneswar, Nov 7: A deeply disturbing incident has come to light in the capital city, where a young woman was allegedly sexually assaulted in a hotel on pretext of job offer.
The accused, identified as Naresh Kumar Dalai, has been arrested and taken into custody by Tamando Police.
According to reports, the victim had been searching for employment on OLX when she came across a listing for a “Rosaline Personal Assistant (Female Required)” position. She messaged the advertiser and later communicated with the accused via WhatsApp.
After exchanging contact details, the accused invited the woman to DN Regalia Mall, claiming that the company’s head office was located at SS International Hotel.
Upon arrival, the victim was allegedly taken to the hotel room where she was sexually assaulted.
The accused also reportedly recorded the assault on video.
Following the survivor’s complaint, Tamando Police swiftly arrested Naresh Kumar Dalai. Authorities have seized his mobile phone and motorcycle as part of the investigation.
