Argus News - Student Found Dead In Private Hostel Bathroom In Jajpur, Family Alleges Murder

Jajpur, Nov 1: In a disturbing incident late last night, a student was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside a bathroom at a private college hostel in Chhotaraypur, under Panikoili police limits. The body was discovered hanging, sparking panic and unrest among fellow hostel residents.

Tensions escalated at the college premises following the discovery, leading to a confrontation between students and police personnel. Shocked classmates expressed disbelief over the tragedy, while the victim’s family has alleged foul play, claiming it to be a case of murder. A formal complaint has been lodged against the college administration at Panikoili police station.

Upon receiving the information, Panikoili police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to Danagadi Medical for post-mortem examination. With the help of a scientific team, the police have begun an investigation into the matter.
