Bhubaneswar, Jan 6: The much-awaited Sisir Saras Mela 2026 will begin in the capital city from January 10 at the IDCO Exhibition Ground.
The fair will continue till January 18, opening daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering residents a vibrant showcase of crafts, food, and culture.
This year’s mela will feature 340 stalls, including
participation from women Self-Help Groups (SHGs), producer groups, and
entrepreneurs from all 30 districts of Odisha. In addition, SHGs and
entrepreneurs from 20 states — including Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar,
Assam, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand,
Kerala, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh — will display and sell handmade
handicrafts, handloom products, spices, and food items.

The mela will also host 35 exclusive food stalls, offering diverse culinary experiences. Each evening, visitors can enjoy cultural programs, adding entertainment to the shopping and exhibition experience.
Organisers have set a business target of Rs 30 crore for this year’s edition, especially significant as the mela was not held last year. The event is expected to boost local entrepreneurship, promote women-led enterprises, and strengthen cultural exchange across states.
