Sambalpur, Nov 3: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Monday seized 71 kilograms of ganja and arrested three persons, including a B.Tech student, for transporting ganja illegally aboard the Dhanbad Express.

Acting on a tip-off, the RPF personnel conducted a thorough inspection. During the search operation, a large quantity of cannabis were found from trolley bags of three persons.

According to officials, at least four trolley bags had been used to conceal the narcotic substance, making the smuggling attempt appear like routine luggage transport.

Following the seizure, the three accused were immediately taken into custody and are currently being interrogated.

Authorities are investigating the source and intended destination of the narcotics, as well as any possible links to a larger smuggling network.

Further legal action is underway, and the seized ganja has been handed over to the appropriate authorities for disposal.
