A light-hearted exchange was shared between the Kerala Governor
and Sangram Keshari Sarangi, Editor, Argus Digital. Sarangi fondly
recalled his childhood, sharing how children would tease their friends for
using grand words by saying, “You’re speaking as if you’re a governor.” He then
asked the Kerala Governor if he had ever experienced something similar, now
that he truly holds the position.
“Not exactly like yours,” the Governor recalled with a smile, “but yes, we used to run behind the carcade of dignitaries or high-ranking officials whenever they visited our village. As time passed, I joined the BJP as an ordinary party worker. Years later, I received a call from an unknown number. At first, I thought of ignoring it, but I answered, and it was Narendra Modi on the other end.”
He continued, “I was informed that I had been appointed Governor. And here I am today.”

has completed one year of commercial operations. Officials briefed them on the
port’s infrastructure, semi-automated systems, and strategic importance as a
deep-water transshipment hub. With a natural depth of 18–20 metres and
proximity to major East–West shipping routes, Vizhinjam is capable of handling
Ultra Large Container Vessels (ULCVs) and is positioned as a key player in
global maritime trade.
Additionally, the team interacted with V. Palanichamy, Additional
Director General, PIB, Thiruvananthapuram. The discussion focused on PIB’s role
in strengthening communication between government and media and promoting
informed, field-based journalism.
The delegation was accompanied by Manoj Kumar Jali, Deputy
Director, and Swadhin Shakti Prasad, Media & Communication Officer, PIB
Bhubaneswar.
