Balasore, Oct 31: A tragic road accident at Soro College Chhak on National Highway 16 in Balasore district has claimed the life of a home guard.
The deceased has been identified as Sushant Sethi, a resident of the same area.
According to reports, Sethi was on duty near the busy intersection when a speeding container truck struck him. He was immediately rescued and rushed to the hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital.
Following the incident, police reached the spot and initiated an investigation.

The driver of the container truck reportedly fled the spot soon after the incident, and efforts are underway to trace and apprehend him.
