Koraput, Sept 24: In anticipation of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall due to an approaching low-pressure system over South Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh, the Koraput district administration has cancelled the leave of all government employees until September 28.

A strict instructions has also been issued, which read that no officer will be permitted to take leave without prior approval.

This decision comes as meteorological forecasts predict the system will intensify and move across the region by September 27, potentially triggering severe rainfall across Koraput district.

All officials have been directed to remain on high alert and ensure readiness for any emergency response.
