Weather Update / Fresh Low Pressure Likely To Form Over BoB Around September 25: IMD

Bhubaneswar, Sep 19: A fresh low pressure area is likely to formed over the Bay of Bengal near the Myanmar-Bangladesh coast around September 25, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
According to the IMD’s latest forecast, an upper air cyclonic circulation currently hovering over the north Andaman Sea and adjoining Myanmar coast is expected to move north-northwestwards. This system is likely to evolve into a fresh low pressure area over the east-central and adjoining northeast Bay of Bengal by 25th of September.
Under the influence of this, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in parts of eastern India, including West Bengal and Odisha, as well as coastal regions of Bangladesh and Myanmar.
