Bhubaneswar, Feb 13: Question papers for the Annual Higher Secondary (Plus Two) Examination 2026 were dispatched under tight security to various parts of Odisha on Friday, our source from the ground informed.
Special vehicles carrying the question papers left the headquarters of the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, for 14 routes covering districts including Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Mayurbhanj and Balasore. Armed police personnel have been deployed to escort the consignments.
Officials said that in total, question papers will be sent through 27 routes over two days.
Over Four Lakh Students to Appear for Exams
This year, 211 examination management hubs have been set up. The examination will be conducted in 1,357 centres across 1,909 higher secondary schools.
A total of 4,01,623 students will appear for the 2026 annual Higher Secondary Examination, according to arrangements made by the CHSE.
The examinations will be held from February 18 to March 28 in 23 sittings.

Strict Protocol for Opening and Distribution of Question Papers
As per the guidelines, question paper packets received from the EMH observer will be opened at 9:30 am at the examination centre in the presence of the Centre Superintendent, observer, invigilator and a representative of the district administration.
The sealed packets, secured in gum-sealed envelopes, will be sent to the examination halls through the Centre Superintendent or Deputy Superintendent.
After distribution to candidates, any unused question papers will be re-sealed in gum-pasted envelopes to ensure they are not left open.
Authorities also made arrangements for AI-enabled cameras to monitor the conduct of the examinations, officials said.
