Bhubaneswar, Dec 20: Two persons including the driver of a car had a narrow escape after their vehicle was hit by a speeding truck near Power House Square in Bhubaneswar on Saturday morning.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the car had stopped at the traffic post near the Power House Square. Meanwhile, a heavy truck dashed into the car, dragging the vehicle nearly 20 meters before coming to a halt.
The impact left the car severely damaged.
Fortunately, both the car owner and the driver escaped unhurt, despite the intensity of the collision. Officials said the accident could have been far more tragic given the busy traffic at the intersection.

The truck driver reportedly admitted that he had been
driving without rest through the night and was unable to react in time due to
fatigue.
