Another chilling crime in Meerut involved the murder of a husband by his wife, Ravita, and her lover, Amardeep, who staged the scene to resemble a snakebite death. Police uncovered bruises inconsistent with snakebites, and a postmortem confirmed strangulation as the cause of death. Investigators later revealed that a snake had been deliberately placed at the scene to mislead authorities.

Patna hospital murder

In Patna, a brazen gang-war murder unfolded when five armed men stormed a private hospital and fatally shot Chandan Mishra, a notorious gangster and convicted killer, inside the ward where he was receiving treatment. The assailants fled without resistance, underscoring the planned nature of the attack and exposing glaring lapses in hospital security and law enforcement.

Durgapur gang rape case

On October 10, 2025, a 23-year-old MBBS student from Balasore, Odisha, was allegedly gang-raped near her private medical college campus in Durgapur, West Bengal, after dining out with a male friend. Police registered an FIR and arrested several suspects, including the friend. The incident provoked widespread outrage, with officials and political leaders demanding swift action.

Rajkot Nirbhaya-like Case

A horrific case of child assault was reported from Rajkot, Gujarat, where a seven-year-old girl was brutally attacked during an attempted rape.
