Bhubaneswar, Aug 12: As the Indian men’s hockey team secured a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics 2024 with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Spain, the nation celebrated the team’s historic achievement. Waseem Ahmed, former captain of Pakistan Hockey Team shared his thoughts on the team's performance and the future of Indian hockey.

In an exclusive interview with Argus News, Waseem praised the team for their resilience and steady improvement throughout the tournament.

Waseem also praised Indian hockey team defender Amit Rohidas who hailed from Odisha and called it a turning point to give him a red card during the match with Great Britain.

Waseem Ahmed  has played 410 matches for Pakistan and is known as one of the best left-half players in the world and is currently giving coaching in Australia.
