Bhubaneswar, Sep 21: India’s ace para shuttler Pramod Bhagat on Sunday clinched gold at China Para Badminton International 2025.

The Tokyo Paralympic champion won the title after defeating Indonesia’s Muh Al Imran in the Men’s Singles SL3 final.

The victory comes after an 18-month suspension, making his comeback all the more remarkable.

The 37-year-old had been sidelined since February 2024 due to a breach of the Badminton World Federation’s (BWF) anti-doping whereabouts clause. His suspension ended on September 1, 2025, just in time for the Grade 2 tournament on the BWF Para Badminton World Circuit.
