Bhubaneswar, Mar 18: Odisha’s young athletes Sabini Munda and Manju Munda have brought glory to the state and the nation by winning medals at the prestigious 6th Acropolis International Wushu Open Championship held in Greece.

In the under‑14 girls’ 39 kg category, Sabini showcased remarkable skill and determination to secure the top spot, earning a coveted gold medal. Her victory not only highlights her personal achievement but also reflects the growing strength of Odisha’s presence in martial arts on the global stage.

Adding to the success, Manju competing in the Senior Women 48kg category, fought valiantly and clinched the silver medal. Her performance was praised by coaches and officials, who noted her resilience and technical excellence throughout the competition.

The Acropolis International Wushu Open is considered one of the significant platforms for martial arts athletes worldwide, attracting participants from multiple countries.
