Cuttack, Feb 5: The offline ticket sale for the ODI between India and England has begun at the Barabati Stadium counters here in Cuttack, Wednesday.
The road near the Barabati Stadium, which will play host to the second ODI between India and England February 9, was thronged with a sea of fans.
The fans, reportedly, waited all night long sitting in the cold to get their hands on match tickets.
Police forces were deployed outside the venue to manage the crowd. However, like every other time in the past, they had to face some difficulties.
Cricket lovers, from Cuttack as well as from outside the district, were waiting for their turn to buy tickets.
Barricades are there to help the fans follow the queue to the counters. Men and women have separate queues to their respective ticket counters.
There was reportedly a stampede in the crowd leaving some youth with minor injuries. The police managed to control the situation and helped the injured.
