Bhubaneswar, Feb 10: Social media often gives the netizens something to laugh about – be it through a meme or through some creative posts.

And a similar thing grabbed the attention of the netizens when the Delhi Police showcased its sense of creativity on social media through a post praising Rohit Sharma for his astonishing century against England, Sunday.

“Dear @odisha_police This Ro hit and run case should not be punishable,” wrote Delhi Police in a post on their official ‘X’ account Sunday.

The post referred to the knock by the ‘Hitman’, as Rohit is called for his hitting prowess, and linked it with the ‘hit-and-run’ crimes in a creative way.

Notably, the Indian skipper struck a superb 119 runs off 90 deliveries, lashed with 12 fours and seven maximums (6s) in the second ODI at the iconic Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.

He forged a solid 136-run partnership with his opening partner Shubman Gill (60) to lay a strong foundation in a chase of 305. India eventually secured the win and sealed the series with 33 balls to spare.
