• India's spinners (bowlers who spin the ball) did really well to stop New Zealand from scoring more. Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy each took 2 wickets. Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Shami also took 1 wicket each.
• New Zealand's top batsmen were Daryl Mitchell, who scored 63 runs, and Michael Bracewell, who scored 53 runs.
• India needed to score 252 runs to win. They achieved this in 49 overs (1 over less than the full 50).
• Rohit Sharma played a solid inning, scoring 76 runs, and Shreyas Iyer contributed 48 runs.
• India reached the target and won the match, claiming their third Champions Trophy title.
