ICC World Cup: India Thrash Sri Lanka By 302 Runs, Enter Semi-Finals

Mumbai, Nov 2: India defeated Sri Lanaka by 302 runs in the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023 match against at the Wankhede Stadium here on Thursday.
With this win, India became the first country to qualify for the semifinals in the World Cup.

For India, Mohammed Shami claimed 5 wickets, while Mohd Siraj bagged 3 wickets. Jasprit Bumrah and Rabindra Jadeja took one wicket each.

✨Earlier, Sri Lanka skipper Kusal Mendis won the toss and invited India to bat first.
India posted a big total of 357 for 8 in 50 overs. While Shubman Gill scored 92, Virat Kohli made 88 and Shreyas Iyer made 82 off 56 balls.
Shami was adjudged Player of the Match. He had figures of 5-1-18-5, taking his overall tally to 45 in World Cups.
