Bhubaneswar, Jan 7: The Hero Hockey India League (HIL) 2025–26 is set to make a grand return to the hockey hub of Bhubaneswar, with tickets for the final leg going live today at 11:00 a.m. IST. In a move aimed at widening the sport’s reach, Hockey India has announced that entry to all matches will be free of cost, ensuring fans across Odisha and beyond can witness world-class hockey without barriers.

The prestigious League will unfold at the iconic Kalinga Hockey Stadium from January 17, culminating in a high-voltage finale on January 26. With eight men’s teams and four women’s teams competing in revamped formats, the tournament promises fast-paced action and heightened excitement.

Dr. Dilip Tirkey, chairperson of the HIL Governing Committee, expressed optimism about the initiative. “As the Hero Hockey India League returns to Bhubaneswar, there is tremendous enthusiasm among fans. Free tickets will encourage larger crowds and create an electrifying atmosphere,” he said.

Echoing the sentiment, committee member Bhola Nath Singh added, “We expect hockey lovers to celebrate #hockeykajashn in Bhubaneswar. Our aim has always been to expand the fanbase, and the finale will showcase the passion of Odisha’s supporters.”

Currently, Vedanta Kalinga Lancers lead the men’s points table after the Chennai phase, while SG Pipers have already secured their spot in the women’s final as table toppers.
