Bhubaneswar, Feb 12: The England men’s hockey team have arrived at the capital city of Odisha Wednesday for the upcoming FIH Pro League 2024-25 matches.

The team received a warm reception after touching down at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar.

The matches will be played at the iconic Kalinga Stadium here in Bhubaneswar and the English men would be eager to carry forward their strong start to the tournament.

England are currently placed second in world rankings, which indicates what their oppositions could expect in their matches.

They, who are placed second in the FIH Pro League 2024-25 standing, will face Spain in their opening match. England men have 11 points in their kitty from four games, which includes three wins and a draw.

England women’s team are already in the city, arriving in the city February 9. The World No. 7 side will face the hosts India and current World No. 1 Netherlands in the FIH Hockey Pro League India leg, scheduled to take place in Bhubaneswar from February 15 to 25.
