The meeting focused on crowd management, safety of women and senior citizens, traffic regulation, food and water quality checks, emergency evacuation, and fire services. CM Majhi emphasised that efficient coordination among officials at every level was crucial to avoid communication gaps and to maintain order during the grand festival.

✨Security arrangements have been scaled up with the deployment of 12,000 police and CAPF personnel, supported by the Coast Guard and Indian Navy. As many as 19 senior IPS officers will oversee security operations. To aid devotees, 473 CCTV cameras and 65 large LED screens in Odia, Hindi, and English will provide real-time information. Sixteen permanent telecom towers and several temporary ones have been installed to strengthen mobile connectivity, alongside bulk messaging services.
Special facilities have been arranged for differently-abled
and elderly devotees at Gundicha Temple, including help desks and evacuation
corridors. Infrastructure upgrades include 1,700 bio-toilets, each maintained
by volunteers, eight temporary hospitals for emergency medical care, and
high-mast lighting along the Grand Road.

With over 300 trains expected to bring pilgrims to Puri, the Chief Minister advised officials to align crowd management with train schedules and ensure timely dissemination of information. The meeting also reviewed parking arrangements, cordon management, and vigilance against suspicious activities.
Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Arabinda Padhee, DGP Y.B. Khurania, and other top bureaucrats and police officers attended the review meeting. The Chief Minister reiterated that every aspect of the Rath Yatra must be “fool-proof” to uphold the sanctity and safety of the festival.
