Balangir, Aug 17: The body of a youth was found floating in an abandoned dug-well near the 5-T building at Badabanki under the Tureikela police station limits in Balangir district this morning. 

The deceased has been identified as Jalandhar Majhi, a resident of Badabanki village. 

While the exact reason behind his death is yet to be known, it is suspected that Jalandhar was killed and dumped in the well last night.

On being informed, a team of Tureikela police reached the spot and recovered the body. After registering a case, the police have sent the body for postmortem.
