Mayurbhanj, Jun 23: A youth sustained critical bullet injuries after some unidentified assailants opened fire on him at Baiganbadia Chhak under Kuliana police limits in Mayurbhanj district.
Acording to reports, two unidentified assailants arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire on the victim, identified as Shivananda, a resident of the same locality.
The bullet reportedly grazed Shivananda's ear, narrowly missing a fatal injury.
While Shivananda was immediately rushed to PRM Hospital in Baripada, where he is currently undergoing treatment, Kuliana police reached the spot and initiated a probe into the incident.
