Ganjam, Mar 11: The body of a youth was found under mysterious circumstances inside the room of a hotel in Ganjam's Chatrapur area.

The deceased has been identified as Pramod Kumar Mahakud of Rourkela area. He was found dead at room no 202 of the hotel named 'Asha Pride'.

According to reports, Pramod checked into the hotel two days ago and had been staying in the hotel since then. He along with some other persons had consumed alcohol inside the hotel room on Monday night. However, he was found dead this morning. 

On being informed, Chatrapur police reached the spot and launched a probe into the incident.

Police broke open the door of the hotel room, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of the death.

However, the exact reason will be ascertained after the arrival of post-mortem report. More details regarding the incident is awaited.
