Koraput, Dec 6: In a heartrending incident, a youth died after a branch of a tree fell on him while he was making preparations for cremation of his farther's body at Kamata in Koraput district this morning. 

Bodies of the father-son duo were cremated amid a sorrowfull situation in the village graveyard. 

According to the information, Laxman Mandal of the village died due to illness. For the cremation of his hody, his son along with other family members were collecting wood. But as the luck would have it, a heavy branch of a tree fell on him. He was soon rushed to the Boriguma Hospital. He was declared dead there. 

A pall of gloom descended in the area after the nees of death of the son spread. Family members and relatives cremated the body amid tearful eyes.
