Puri, Apr 11: At least four persons sustained critical injuries when a device detonated in the hand of a youth. The incident was reported in Jamalpur village under Pipili block in Puri district.

Among the four, the health condition of one person is stated to be critical. Reportedly, the victim is undergoing treatment at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhubaneswar.

While the exact cause behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, preliminary reports suggest that eventuality occurred due to a land dispute in the village. However, it is yet to be confirmed.

Later, police on the basis of the complaint, lodged an FIR and initiated an investigation.
