Barang, Mar 1: A youth committed suicide allegedly by jumping in front of a speeding train at a rail crossing near Sarangei Temple under Barang police station.
The deceased has been identified as Ashis Kumar Jena of Paradip area.
A suicide note has been recovered from the site, in which the deceased Ashis blamed his friends Ajay and Reema for the incident.
According to reports, Ashis took the extreme step following torture by his friends.
Reportedly, Ashis had came across the illegal relation of Ajay and Reema. Upon knowing, Ajay and Reema assaulted Ashis and threatened him with dire consequences.
On being informed about the incident, Government Railway Police (GRP) reached the spot and launched a probe into the matter.
