Balasore, Mar 2: Soro police have arrested a youth on charges of killing his 25-year-old girlfriend who was found dead with her throat slit at her home in Lingapada village of Soro in Balasore district.
Police said the accused, identified as Biswaranjan Puhan of Basudevpur area, tried to end his life after the incident. However, he was rescued to hospital and later on discharge, the accused was taken into custody
The accused youth will be forwarded to court and will be taken into judicial custody for further investigation into the incident, reports added.

On February 24, the accused youth enterted into the girl's house and killed her by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon. The accused took the extreme step following an argument with the girl.
