Dhenkanal, Aug 2: A woman was allegedly strangled to death by her husband following a heated argument in Gandia village under Gandia police limits in Dhenkanal.
The victim, identified as Mandakini Nath (24) was allegedly strangled to death by her husband, Dhirendra Nath alias Dipu.
According to reports, Dipu had married Mandakini. Post-marriage, Mandakini discovered that Dipu had multiple wives, which led to frequent quarrels between the couple. The situation escalated, and on the day of the incident, Dipu allegedly strangled Mandakini during a heated argument.
Later, Mandakini’s father, Shatrughna Nath, filed a complaint at Gandia police station, accusing Dipu of murder.
