Bhubaneswar, Jul 23: A young woman was allegedly harassed near AG Square, close to Raj Bhavan, while returning home late Tuesday evening.

The accused, identified as Dillip Dalai, reportedly snatched the mobile phone of the victim and attempted to physically misbehave with the woman.

According to reports, the accused approached the woman, and proceeded to harass her physically. Her screams drew the attention of nearby locals, who intervened and helped rescue her from the situation.

The woman later filed a formal complaint at the Capital Police Station, leading to the immediate arrest of the accused.

Police have registered a case and initiated a probe into the incident.

The accused youth is expected to be produced in court following interrogation. More details are awaited.
