Ganjam, Jun 18: A woman allegedly killed her husband following a domestic dispute at Mundmarai village under Dharakot police jurisdiction in Aska, Ganjam district.

The deceased has been identified as Amar Nayak.

According to reports, Amar and his wife had an heated argument over some issue. The situation turned ugly after the woman attacked Amar with a sharp weapon, resulting his death on the spot.

Sources reveal that after committing the act, the accused woman attempted to stage the incident as a suicide. However, police team reached the spot and initiated further investigation.

The police have sent the deceased for an autopsy at Aska Medical while detaining the accused wife for interrogation.

Authorities continue their probe to uncover the exact circumstances leading to this tragic event.
