Bhubaneswar, May 15: In a shocking turn of events, a young woman lost her life under mysterious circumstances at an OYO hotel in Bhubaneswar.

The deceased, identified as Sonali Mohapatra from Nayagarh, died after she reportedly fell from the second floor of the guesthouse named Jagamara Das Inn in Bhubaneswar.

On being informed, police reached the spot and launched an investigation into the matter.

Reports suggest that Sonali was inside the hotel room with her male companion, Bibhuti Pratihar, at the time of the incident.

Authorities are yet to confirm whether the case is a murder or a suicide.

Reportedly, Bibhuti has been detained for questioning as investigators work to uncover the truth. It has been revealed that Sonali and Bibhuti were planning to get married next month.

Meanwhile, Khandagiri police have initiated a full-fledged inquiry, sending Sonali’s body for post-mortem while also reviewing CCTV footage from the hotel to understand the sequence of events.
