Bhubaneswar, Apr 8: The low-pressure system, which was formed on Monday, has further intensified into a well-defined low-pressure area over the southwest adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal on Tuesday.

According to meteorological reports, this system is expected to maintain its strength over the next 24 hours as it moves north-westward across the west-central Bay of Bengal region.

Forecasters predict that the system will gradually change its course, shifting to a north-northwest direction. By the next 24 hours, it is anticipated to veer north-northeast, gradually weakening as it approaches the central Bay of Bengal.

Authorities are monitoring the situation closely to evaluate potential impacts on coastal areas.

Meteorologists have advised fishermen and sailors to exercise caution and avoid venturing into rough sea conditions in the affected regions. The weather bureau has assured the public that further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
