Bhubaneswar, Mar 29: Odisha Vigilance officials Saturday raided the office and residence of Assistant Project Manager of Odisha Water Supply & Sewerage Board (OWSSB), Bhubaneswar, on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The official, Debasis Sahoo, has been named as the alleged accused.

Acting on allegations of possessing disproportionate assets, the anti-corruption team, led by a 26-member team including DSPs, inspectors, and ASIs, is currently investigating properties of the official in Bhubaneswar, Jatani, Cuttack, and Khordha.

The officials conducted simultaneous raids at seven places, including his residence in Jatani and a rental house at Sukanti Devi Enclave in Bhubaneswar.

Additional locations, such as two shops in Banadurga Market Complex, a relative’s house in Choudwar, and his office in Bhubaneswar, are also under investigation.
