Bhubaneswar, Apr 12: Was 5T Concept Legal? Was It Working in the interest of the people or the State? Such many questions have now arisen after VK Pandian's name and '5T Vision' data were deleted from the website of the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) recently.
Pandian's name and '5T Vision' were deleted after BJP State spokesperson Anil Biswal filed a petition in the cVIGIL Citizen App of the Election Commission of India. In his petition, Biswal mentioned that VK Pandian was working in the CMO as an office even after he quit his job and joined the BJD.
While Biswal filed the petition on April 4, Pandian's name from the officers' list and the entire '5T Vision' data vanished from the CMO website on April 8 and 11, respectively.
"Had not we complained to the Election Commission of India, VK Pandian would have continued distributing party tickets sitting at the BJD office and directing district Collectors to make BJD candidates win simultaneously. After our complaint, the ECI directed for deletion of Pandian's name," said Biswal.
He said by deleting Pandian's name and the entire 5T data, the government has conceded that 5T was a work concept.
Meanwhile, many instances have come to the fore where the mention of '5T' has been erased from Government signboards. Two such incidents have come from Bhadrak and Puri districts.

✨'5T' mention has been found missing from the board of a water tank constructed under the BASUDHA Yojana at Boudhpur GP under Bhadrak block and Boards of 'Ama Gaon, Ama Bikash, Tehsil office and Irrigation Office at Satayabadi in Puri district.
"5T was formed only to hoodwink people of the State," alleged Deepak Satpathy, a citizen.
Subash Mohapatra, another person, said, "People have already understood that 5T was meaningless. They have already decided not to accept an outsider."
"A government runs under rules of business set under Article 1 (66) of the Constitution. There was no department named 5T," said Tapan Mishar, a scribe.
It may be noted that Leader of Opposition Jayanarayan Mishra had once raised a question in the State Assembly to know what the 5T meant. In reply, the government said 5T was a concept.
"How can a concept have a Secretary," Jayanarayan reacted to the reply.
