Rayagada, May 3: In a tragic turn of events, a land dispute in Saregada village of Rayagada district's Padmapur block resulted in brutal murder of two individuals.

According to reports, unidentified assailants attacked and killed Agadhu Gamang, husband of the local Sarpanch, and his father, Semera Gamang, using sharp weapons.

The bodies of the victims were discovered in the village, triggering widespread panic and fear among locals.

Upon receiving information, Padmapur police rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation.

Additionally, Gunupur SDPO and a special police force arrived in the village to assess the situation.

Sources indicate that tensions between two parties over a longstanding land dispute have escalated in recent days. Preliminary investigations suggest that the conflict may have led to the gruesome attack.
