Jajpur, Mar 9: In a shocking incident, a man died after being attacked by a mentally ill person at Jamadhar village under the Jajpur Sadar police station limits this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Kalandi Mallick and the attacker as Surendra Behera.
According to the information, Surendra, a mentally ill person, had been moving with a chopper in his hand since yesterday. This morning, Kalandi was returning to his house in Swapneswarpur when Surendra attacked him on the neck with the chopper all of a sudden. Kalandi reportedly died on the spot.

The police have started further investigation into the matter.
