Bhubaneswar, Sep 9: In a major stride toward strengthening rural education, Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest aluminium producer, organized a one-day Block Level Teachers’ Orientation Program in collaboration with the Block Education Department at Mahima Degree College, Bijapali. The initiative brought together over 650 elementary teachers from Lakhanpur block, Odisha, for a comprehensive pedagogical capacity-building session.


The programme focused on enhancing foundational teaching skills through expert-led modules on lesson planning, classroom management, disaster preparedness, first-aid, and the integration of technology in education. Teachers participated in hands-on training, interactive discussions, and were awarded certificates upon completion.


The event was graced by prominent education officials including Sashmita Sahu, Joint Director, OSEPA, and Amulya Kumar Padhan, Regional Director, DHSE, Sambalpur. Their presence underscored the significance of public-private collaboration in uplifting rural education standards.
