Bhubaneswar, Sept 13: In a significant step toward inclusive education and community development, Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest aluminium producer, has inaugurated a fitness-cum-amusement park for tribal students at Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama School in Hatamuniguda, Rayagada. The facility is designed to benefit over 700 students, all hailing from tribal communities across Odisha’s southern districts including Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, and Nabarangpur.

The park, equipped with modern play and fitness installations, aims to foster physical activity, recreation, and holistic growth among students. In rural regions where educational infrastructure is often limited, such initiatives play a pivotal role in enhancing the learning environment and nurturing young minds.

The inauguration ceremony was led by Prateek Kumar, Vice President & Head of Vedanta Sijimali Bauxite Mines, alongside school authorities. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who explored the new space with joy and curiosity.

Established in 2008 on 100 acres of land provided by the Government of Odisha, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama School offers CBSE curriculum-based education up to the 12th standard. The school has been a beacon of hope for tribal children, providing quality education and life skills in a nurturing environment.
