Bhubaneswar, Oct 28: Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest aluminium producer, has extended its support to the ‘SURAVI’ Children’s Festival held in Odisha's Sundargarh district, officials said on Tuesday.

Organized by the School and Mass Education Department of the Government of Odisha, the festival is a vibrant celebration of creativity and learning, aimed at nurturing young talent from rural communities.

This year’s edition saw enthusiastic participation from over 1500 students representing 42 schools across six Gram Panchayats in Hemgir and Lakhanpur blocks. The festival featured 30 competitions spanning art and craft, music, dance, debate, elocution, and creative writing—each designed to spotlight the imagination and skills of young minds.

Ashish Patel, Cluster Resource Centre Coordinator (CRCC) of Lakhanpur Block, praised the initiative, stating, “‘SURAVI’ is not just a competition but a celebration of children’s creativity and potential. We appreciate Vedanta’s support in encouraging the holistic growth of students and helping them dream bigger.”

Vedanta’s involvement in SURAVI aligns with its broader commitment to social impact in Odisha, encompassing education, healthcare, sustainable livelihoods, rural infrastructure, and grassroots sports and culture. The company’s collaborative approach with local authorities ensures meaningful and measurable progress in its operational areas.
