Mayurbhanj, Jan 13: Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday said he would be happy if he is called Bhai instead of Minister. 

He stated this after inaugurating a slew of projects and laying foundation stones for proposed ones in the Mayurbhanj district today. 

Vaishnaw inaugurated a PRS Booking Counter and laid the foundation stone for a subway at Betonity railway station in the presence of Union Tribals Affairs Minister Bishweswar Tudu, Balasore MP Pratap Sarangi and Badasahi MLA Sanatan Bijuli. 

Addressing a meeting, Vaishnaw requested people not to address him as a Minister but call him 'Bhai' (brother). 
"In the last 10 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the culture of Railways to a progressive and friendly direction," said the Union Minister. 

He boasted of saying a waterful glass doesn't tilt inside the Vande Bharat train but the entire world got trembled seeing the train.  

Raising an accusing finger indirectly at the Odisha government, Vaishnaw said somebody stole away free rice sent by the Modi government in earlier days. 

On the occasion, the Railways Minister announced that a passenger hub would come up soon at Macchapada.
