Mayurbhanj, Jan 13: Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday said he would be happy if he is called Bhai instead of Minister.
He stated this after inaugurating a slew of projects and laying foundation stones for proposed ones in the Mayurbhanj district today.
Vaishnaw inaugurated a PRS Booking Counter and laid the foundation stone for a subway at Betonity railway station in the presence of Union Tribals Affairs Minister Bishweswar Tudu, Balasore MP Pratap Sarangi and Badasahi MLA Sanatan Bijuli.
Addressing a meeting, Vaishnaw requested people not to address him as a Minister but call him 'Bhai' (brother).
"In the last 10 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the culture of Railways to a progressive and friendly direction," said the Union Minister.
