Mohanty, known for playing hero role in marvellous Odia films and ntertaining Odia people in eighties and nineties, passed away at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram on Thursday night.
His actor wife Aparajita Mohanty, actor son Babusan and dauther-in-law Trupti were present at his death bed. He was 67 when he breathed his last. Actors, leaders and common people have expressed deep grief over his demise. He was a evergreen actor, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan mentioned in his ‘X’ handle.

✨Expressing deep grief, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced the legendary actor will be cremated with full state honour.
Leader of opposition in State Assembly and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also expressed grief over Mohanty’s demise. He sent condolences to the bereaved family.
According to the latest information, the dead body of Mohanty will be brought by air today. The body is expected to arrive in the Biju Patnaik International airport at 11 am. The body will be taken in a procession to his house at Jagannath Vihar. His fans and family members will have last Darshan there.
