Bhubaneswar, July 9: In a shocking incident, a minor girl was found dead in a locked room at Shri Ramanagar slum under the Mancheswar police station limits in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. 

The deceased has been identified as a resident of Uttar Pradesh. 

According to the information, the minor girl had been staying in a rented house in the slum for a few months.  The house owner, a woman, complained to the Mancheswar police alleging that the girl committed suicide in her house.  

The police went to the spot and found that the girl's body was hanging from the roof, while her room was locked from outside. 

Police have started investigating the incident from different angles.
