Puri, Sept 6: An unknown container that was washed un to the Puri beach  this morning has been a matter of discussion in both public and government circles. 

According to the informaiton, locals saw a large container on the beach at the Ganga Devi Mandir near Sanskrit University under Penthakta Marine Police Station this morning. 

The police have reached the spot and started an investigation. 

Firefighters and fishermen made a desperate effort to bring the container ashore as it was heavy. What is inside the container will be clear after the investigation, SP said.

When the fishermen went into the sea to catch fish, they found a container floating. While the container is blue in color, what is in it and where did it come from is now being discussed by locals. 

Meanwhile, Puri district Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain said tallks are on wih the coast guard to know about the container. It is a sensitive issue. Action would be taken as per protocol," said the district Collector.
