Balasore, Feb 15: Some unknown animals were found playing along an embankment of a pond at Sugo village under Jaleswar block in Balasore district this morning. 

A villager, Prasant Jena, first saw the animals and informed the forest officials, who then rushed to the spot and recovered the beasts. 

The animals, which were not seen by villagers earlier, measured between 2 and 2.5 ft. The forest officials identified the animals as "Vibrekula Indikar" and said they were not dangerous to human beings. 

They said the animals would be released after a medical test.
